Feasty Candied Bacon
Hand these Feasty treats out at Halloween and you're libel to start a riot!!
- 2 lbs. Thick Cut Bacon
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 pkg. Red Candy Apple Mix
- 1 bag Caramel Candy
In a large skillet, fry off bacon until thoroughly cooked, yet not to the point of crispy. Place cooked bacon on a paper towel lined plate and allow to cool completely in the refrigerator. In the meantime, melt chocolate chips in a double boiler. Once chocolate is completely melted, dip cooked bacon into chocolate and arrange on a wax paper lined cookie sheet previously dusted w/ crushed peanuts. Immediately sprinkle chocolate covered bacon with additional crushed peanuts and allow to cool in the refrigerator.
For other unique variations, substitute either Red Candied Apple coating or melted caramel. Repeat procedure as listed above, sprinkling candy coated slice of bacon w/ crushed peanuts as well.
